After successful selling of Hyundai i20 Petrol version. Hyundai Motors are bringing in the market the unbelieving, so cheap and yet the same car with high performance in diesel version HYUNDAI i20 Diesel in Nov-Dec 2009.
The diesel variant has no changes in looks when compared to its petrol sibling. The diesel variant should be powered by a 1.4l CRDI engine. The 1.4l CRDI engine will produce a power of 74bhp and a torque of 220Nm. It is More Comfortable car than Hyundai i20 Petrol version. The i20 could make more heads turn towards it as it will equipped with a refined diesel engine, with the new generation diesel engines being known for their performance and efficiency. The top model of Hyundai i20 will be equipped with airbags and ABS. The car should even feature the 2DIN music system. The interiors of the diesel and the petrol variant will be the same.
In United Kingdom this Car is available with a 1.4 liter CRDi eng ine that offers 88 BHP at 4000 RPM, and 162 lb ft of torque at 2350 RPM.
Hyundai i20 diesel is ready to compete with the diesel versions of maruti swift (DZire) and Skoda Fabia too. Swift will be on cheaper side than i20 diesel whereas Skoda fabia is on the expensive side. All the three engines are highly refined and efficient, powerful and smooth diesel engines.
